Volunteer Appreciation Banquet!
ONTV is looking forward to our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet! The event will be held on Friday, February 5th and awards will be given to the Producer, Volunteer & Rookie of the Year as well as others. RSVP soon if you haven’t yet and if you can’t make it stay tuned to ONTV for the award winners!

DVD Workshop
Do you want to learn how to create your own professional DVD? ONTV will host a 2 part DVD Workshop on Saturday, February 20th and February 27th from 9 am – 1 pm. We will cover what makes up a menu based DVD and the proper file types to create your own
DVD’s.
In Part 1 (2/20) participants will learn terminology, file types, and DVD anatomy. Menus, markers, navigation, bank media selections and what they mean will be covered.
In Part 2 (2/27) participants will assemble a custom DVD using Premiere Elements Templates. Setting markers, using custom pictures for menus and burning a DVD will conclude this series.
Each Workshop will be 3 – 4 hours long and there are 5 seats available. Participants will need to bring home movies or video to make your Custom DVD and ONTV will provide the editing and DVD software, blank media and shared workstations. All ONTV Volunteers & Producers are welcome! Contact the studio by calling (248) 693-3377 for more information and to register.

Lighted Holiday Parade ONTV

Did you catch the Lighted Village Parade on Saturday, 12/5? If not, ONTV has you covered. Stay tuned to Comcast Channel 10 to watch
 the parade coverage from the comfort of your own living room! The parade will air every Saturday in December at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday at
6:00 p.m.
Watch for the ONTV Float in the parade! There were a lot of ONTV Volunteers who worked hard to make our Float look so wonderful. A big THANK YOU is in order for Pat Belanger, Ralph Painter, Sarah & David Paine, Amy & Patrick Tunison and Kris & Casey Whittenberg. They worked so hard and made ONTV shine!

Santa Claus made his annual visit to Lake Orion on December 5thand
 kids from all over town had the opportunity to tell him their wish lists! ONTV was there to capture all of the magic. Santa's visit will air on public access channel 10

Chuck Stokes In Studio
Chuck Stokes, Editorial & Public Affairs Director at WXYZ, joined ONTV
 on Monday, December 7th. Mr. Stokes serves as the Moderator & Producer for Detroit’s longest running weekly news and public affairs show, “Spotlight on the News”. He spent an afternoon here at the ONTV Studio talking with Volunteers and Staff members on issues in the television industry, answered questions and offered tips on how to successfully produce a television program. A BIG congrats is in order!
 Tom Watson, an ONTV Volunteer Producer, has earned a Finalist title for the prestigious Philo T. Farnsworth Awards. Tom’s program “Out and About in Novi: The Animal Show” is a program he produced about an animal show at the Rock Financial Show Place in Novi. He has entered programs in the Philo T. Farnsworth Video Contest in previous years and continues to receive recognition! Congratulations Tom!!!
